Creating and styling different looks with a piece of clothing is one of my passion. Not only does it give you a chance to wear it for different occasions, it also gives you a fresh new look everytime you wear it. So for this post, i decided to share with you some of the ways that i would wear my long cardigan. i’m using a chiffon cardigan here, but i think it’ll work with any type of material. I bought this long cardigan from one of the facebook groups i’m following. Not so happy with the way it turned out to be in real life compared to the photo advertised on the group, but hey! i guess that’s what you get from buying a cheap RM30 cardigan. LOL. Nonetheless, i always make things work and to me it’s not about how much your piece of clothing cost, it’s how expensive you look wearing it! Woot Woot!

So here are 5 ways on how to wear your long cardigan.

The Norm

okay, so this is the usual way that you would wear a long cardigan. Just slip it on over top and leggings and BOOM! you’re done.. easy.. Capisce! of course you could opt to wear a dress instead…

The Mid Knot

mid knot long cardigan

Here i just took the mid section from each side and tied a knot in the middle of my waist. This style helps to define my waist because long cardigans tend to hide all my curves and just make my body look very straight, which i don’t like. This style also gives you the long cardigan flow when you walk while holding it in place and without exposing too much.

The Short Mid Knot

For this style, i took the bottom ends of the cardigan and some material from the mid section, combine and knot. i think this style is a sweeter look or ‘ayu‘ katenyer.. It’s also a great style to wear with a long skirt, looks like a kebaya and great for weddings or kenduri etc.

The Exposed Mid Knot

(obviously i’m just naming them as i go on.. LOL)

Similar to the mid knot. I took the bottom sides of the cardigan and tied it around my waist. But this time, without combining the outer mid section and instead leaving that to flow loosely.

The Belt Wrap

For this look, i added a belt around my waist and folded the bottom opening section around the belt towards the sides of my body.. This look showcases the underdress abit more and the belt keeps the cardigan on your side instead. Small alteration but makes such a difference. I also used this method for the Zalora party as you can see below.

I really love experimenting with different style and if you want to challenge me to styling a piece of outfit into different looks, i’m up for it! Just comment in the comment section below, and tell me what you want me to try styling in different ways and i’ll try to accommodate it! Or else just let me what you think of the looks above! Till my next post.. See ya!
