Over the weekend, i had the pleasure of attending Asia’s largest social media award show- Influence Asia 2017, where top social media influencers across seven countries gathered to celebrate the influencer industry across Asia. A total of 252 social media influencers from 7 Asian countries participated in the categories of food, health and fitness, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, parenting, Youtube channel, Youtube personality and Breakout Influencer.

It was such a great opportunity to see some of the best and rising influencers in Asia, some of which have made me wonder why and some that I totally envy! There were also special guest presenters that are top influencers in their various fields namely, Carli Bybel (US) and Shannon Harris (NZ) for the beauty category, Lilymaymac (AUS) for the lifestyle category, Anis Nabilah (MY) for the food category and Sririta Jensen (TH) for the fashion category.

Also making an appearance was Judy Travis and her husband Benji. I mean OMG, they’re like the world’s top parenting Youtube content creator with a collective of 3.5 million subscribers spanned over 3 Youtube channels.

There are just too many outstanding influencers to mention, from top 15 to top 4 and then of course the winners of each category. But check out Mai Ngo:

Remember her from Asia’s Next Top Model cycle 4? She looks hot right!! Top 4 for the Breakout Influencer category. Nice!

Another standout outfit in my opinion is Sririta Jensen’s dress.. Like OMG.. just WOW! really of the standouts of the night.

And one of my favourite speakers of the night was Meiji Anoma, who won the Health and Fitness category for the 2nd time running! Really inspiring speech that reminds us that it’s just about how you look on the outside but also how you feel in the inside:

One of my Malaysian favourite is Emma Shazleen. This petite, beautiful lady and mother of two won for the fashion category and looking through her instagram.. there’s no wonder why.

The Award show is a bi-annual one and i’m hoping that the next Award show will maybe have a category in Body positivity or Plus size maybe? HAHA! i wishhh!! But 2 years does give the organiser (Gushcloud) sometime for them to think it over… So maybe have a chance.. maybe la yerr…. Well let’s hope for the best. And to aspiring influencers, you’ve got 2 years to work through. Good luck!
